(Garmisch-Partenkirchen) The 62nd workshop of the DVG’s “Food safety and consumer protection” working area together with the section foodstuffs of animal origin in the Austrian Society of Veterinarians and the Swiss Veterinarian Association for Food Safety, Animal Health and Animal Protection took place from October 25th to 28th, 2022 as a hybrid event in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The lectures were held live and simultaneously broadcast via live stream for online participants.
For pureMilk analytical GmbH, Christian Baumgartner presented a poster on the innovative tool FraMiTrACR® for the sample preparation of milk for residue analysis. The time saving in particular opens up new possibilities for innovative control approaches in the dairy industry, because the drastic reduction in sample preparation time for residue analysis to 20 to 30 minutes makes just-in-time control regimes possible for the first time. This is particularly beneficial for the highly integrated dairy food chain. It will be exciting to see how this will change the concepts of residue control in the dairy industry in the future.
